The CSR Al Ahli flagship program, Global Business Opportunities, has a primary mission to connect Middle Eastern youth with a different culture, in the stimulating environment of a third host country, and to encourage them to solve real-world business needs. Now in its 10th edition, the first part of the GBO spans over a period of 2 weeks, followed by a two-month period of follow-up work offered to the participants to develop and refine their ideas.

In the first part, participants are exposed to an intensive crash course in setting up and running a business in an intercultural context. Through industry visits, they get to be inspired by leaders in international business and academia, in addition to acquiring valuable experience in establishing international networks. After growing entrepreneurial muscle in the process, the teams are then asked to conceptualize an original business of their own. A two-month period of guidance from experienced industry practitioners follows, where teams produce pilots for their original business models. The exercise of teamwork is an added value, as the connections fostered while working to solve complex problems will prove to be an asset for every participant.

The GBO program has been seen over 15 countries represented by its participants pool, and been hosted by Argentina, Brazil, Italy, the UK, Jordan and Lebanon.
